About Inquisia
Your child deserves better. Not just better grades but a better learning experience. They deserve to walk into class with confidence, to believe in their own abilities and to build skills that last well beyond this school year. That’s why I started Inquisia.
My Story
I’ve worked with students in just about every learning setting you can imagine; one-on-one tutoring, big-name franchises, and classroom-style programs.
No matter the setting, I kept seeing the same thing: students came in frustrated, and left dependent.
We helped them pass the next test, sure. But they weren’t walking away feeling smarter, stronger, or more capable. They were just surviving.
Even early on, I knew that wasn’t enough.
I’d always had a sense that worksheets and endless explanations weren’t the real solution. Students didn’t need more information, they needed to be actively involved in the learning process. They needed space to try, to struggle, to reflect, and to work things out for themselves, without the pressure of a grade.
That instinct led me deeper into the research on how learning actually works. And what I found didn’t just confirm my hunch, it gave me the tools to do things differently.
I began applying evidence-based strategies drawn from learning science:
And when I brought those ideas into my one-on-one work, something shifted. Students stopped waiting to be rescued. They started thinking for themselves, asking better questions, and gaining confidence, not because someone told them they were smart, but because they felt it.
That’s not just academic improvement. It’s a mindset shift, from “I’m not a math person” to “I can figure this out.” And that quiet shift in belief? It changes everything.
Now, I’m bringing those same principles into small-group settings, because learning alongside peers isn’t just more engaging, it’s how students grow best.
That’s the kind of learning I believe in. That’s the kind of learning Inquisia was built to deliver.
About the Founder

I’m Brenna, the founder and lead facilitator at Inquisia. I hold an Honours B.Sc. in Biology from Carleton University, with a strong background in Mathematics, and have spent over a decade working directly with high school & university level students.
My expertise isn’t just academic, it’s hands-on. Over the past 10 years, I’ve taught students in one-on-one tutoring settings, large franchise programs, and collaborative group formats. Along the way, I’ve spent hundreds of hours studying how learning really works: testing evidence-based strategies, refining my approach, and watching what actually helps students grow.
I created Inquisia to offer what I believe students need most: a space to build understanding, confidence, and independence. I personally design and lead all of our programs, combining subject support with the learning tools that stick, so students walk away not just with better grades, but with the mindset to keep learning.
What We Do
At Inquisia, we offer personalized 1-on-1 Math Tutoring for students who are capable but struggling, not because they aren’t trying, but because they haven’t been taught how to learn in a way that makes sense to them.
These sessions aren’t your usual tutoring session. They’re designed to build:
CLARITY
Because they actually understand the material.
CONFIDENCE
Because they practice solving problems on their own, with guidance and feedback.
STUDY SKILLS
Because they learn how to approach challenges, not avoid them.
INDEPENDENCE
Because the goal is progress, not dependence.
This isn’t more school after school. It’s a place where students feel supported, challenged, and capable.
Our Vision
Grades open doors but confidence, skills, and resilience keep them open.
I believe education should do more than get students through tests. It should spark curiosity, build mastery, and prepare them for life beyond the classroom.
We’re starting with one-on-one coaching but the vision is bigger… to reimagine learning as something that’s inspiring, fun, and lasting. Where students leave not only with stronger marks, but with the confidence to keep learning long after the test is over.
